IX. FINANCIAL STATUS OF THE CHAMBER
In 2000 the Chamber received contributions totaling 2,959,014.84 DEM. This amount represents about 70% of the Chamber's
planned budget for that year. This is a 9 percentage point decrease over the previous year in which the Chamber
received 79% of its planned budget. Similar to the situation in 1999, the Chamber was able to function adequately with
these funds, although it had to limit some planned activities. Compared to 1999, fewer international donors made financial
contributions to the Chamber in 2000. A list of donors and their contributions plus a summary of the Chamber's expenses
is attached to this Report as Annex H.
The government of Bosnia and Herzegovina allocated 400,000 KM to the Human Rights Chamber from its 2000 State budget.
This amount accounted for about 10% of the Chamber's planned budget for 2000. However, only 250,000 KM of this amount
was actually received. As in previous years, the Chamber was able to function through the voluntary contributions of
international donors.
